Please read these terms carefully before using SubMeow. They outline the rules and guidelines that govern your use of our subscription tracking service.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SubMeow ("the Service"), including our mobile applications, web application, and marketing website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and SubMeow ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, downloading our app, or otherwise accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use SubMeow. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SubMeow is a subscription tracking application that helps users manage and monitor their recurring payments. The Service provides the following features:
- Tracking and organizing active subscriptions across multiple categories
- Calculating total monthly, yearly, and lifetime spending on subscriptions
- Sending reminders before subscription renewals and free trial expirations
- Providing analytics and insights into spending patterns
- Syncing subscription data across multiple devices
- Supporting multiple currencies and 13 languages
- A guest mode for local-only usage without account creation
SubMeow is an information management tool. We do not directly interact with your bank, payment providers, or subscription services. We do not process payments, cancel subscriptions, or make changes to your accounts with third-party services on your behalf.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of SubMeow, you may need to create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Keep your account information up to date
- Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
- Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
Authentication Methods
You may create an account using:
- Email and password
- Google OAuth (Sign in with Google)
- Apple OAuth (Sign in with Apple)
Guest Mode
SubMeow offers a guest mode that allows you to use the app without creating an account. In guest mode, your data is stored locally on your device only and is not synced to our servers. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, your guest mode information will be permanently lost. You may convert a guest session to a full account at any time.
5. User Conduct
When using SubMeow, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Attempt to circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you are violating these conduct guidelines, with or without prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The SubMeow Service, including but not limited to its software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, the Sub cat mascot and all associated artwork, user interface elements, and underlying code, is the intellectual property of SubMeow and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SubMeow for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to:
- Modify, copy, or distribute the Service or any part of it
- Use SubMeow's branding, mascot, or design elements without written permission
- Create derivative works based on the Service
- Sublicense, sell, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service
Trademarks
"SubMeow", the SubMeow logo, and the Sub cat mascot are trademarks of SubMeow. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent, except as reasonably necessary to refer to our Service (for example, in an app review or blog post).
7. Data Ownership
Your Data
You retain full ownership of the subscription data and personal information you enter into SubMeow. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. Your data belongs to you.
License to Use Your Data
By using the Service, you grant SubMeow a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This includes:
- Storing your subscription data on our servers for cross-device synchronization
- Processing your data to calculate analytics, summaries, and insights
- Displaying your data within the app interface
- Creating anonymized, aggregated statistics to improve the Service (your individual data is never shared)
Data Portability
You may export your data at any time using the export features available in the app. We support export in CSV and JSON formats. Upon account deletion, you will have the opportunity to export your data before it is permanently removed.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SubMeow and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the Service's content or features
- Any interruption or cessation of the Service
- Any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the Service
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Financial Disclaimer
SubMeow is an information management tool and does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. The spending summaries, analytics, and insights provided by the Service are for informational purposes only. You should not rely solely on SubMeow for making financial decisions. We recommend consulting a qualified financial advisor for financial planning.
9. Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in the app settings. Upon termination:
- Your account and associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion
- Data deletion will be completed within 30 days of your request
- Any active Premium subscription will continue until the end of the current billing period (no pro-rata refunds)
- You should cancel your Premium subscription through the respective app store before deleting your account
Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Service or our User Conduct guidelines
- Your account has been inactive for more than 24 months
- We are required to do so by law or legal process
- We reasonably believe your account has been compromised
- Continued provision of the Service to you is no longer commercially viable
Where possible, we will provide advance notice before terminating your account and give you an opportunity to export your data. In cases of severe Terms violations or legal requirements, immediate termination may occur without prior notice.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws of the jurisdiction in which SubMeow operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through the courts of competent jurisdiction.
EU Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you benefit from mandatory provisions of the consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms shall affect your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law, including the right to withdraw from a digital content purchase within 14 days where applicable.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our Service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify registered users via email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect
- Display a prominent in-app notification summarizing the key changes
- Provide a clear comparison of what has changed
Your continued use of SubMeow after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
